Blackjack Jerome of El Cerrito

The Center for Modern Greek Studies, the Nikos Kazantzakis Chair at SF State University, cordially invited you to a special seminar by Fondas Ladis, who is working on a biography on a Greek American named Blackjack Jerome of El Cerrito, a legendary figure in the Greek community of the Bay Area. 
Visiting from Greece, Ladis is a writer, journalist and lyricist, who has collaborated with the great Greek composer, Mikis Theodorakis, and written a number of books including a study on the city of Athens and a book on the contributions of Greeks and Greek Americans in the early history of Hollywood.
He gave his talk in Greek but we translated for those who do not speak the language. He had a short film on Blackjack Jerome he showed.
